I called up Matthews' GM regarding a used vehicle I saw on Cars.com. Tom Donovan took my call and I appreciated his honesty and no-pressure attitude right from the beginning. He told me what he knew about it and said he'd take another look at it and let me know. Within an hour, I had an email detailing everything that Tom had observed after he personally inspected the condition of the vehicle for me. I made the one hour trip to check out the vehicle and was entirely satisfied with it. Tom was easy to work with and didn't try to push me anything I didn't want or need during the transaction. Not only did I get the best price up front, but I didn't mind waiting through the paperwork and got a sweet ride out of the deal as well. Thank you Tom!

Greeted by name, I came for a 30,000 mile check. Gil Millard told me how long service would take, and summoned my shuttle driver. While I was enjoying Vestal's shopping, Gil phoned to confer about his recommendations for service, and how much it would cost. When I came in, I met with Jeff Wickman and he was very helpful and kind with assisting me in finding the right car for me. Because I wasn't too sure with what I could afford and what I initally wanted the Business Manager Peter Richman helped me out with the financial part of my car purchasing experience. After I met with both of them, they together came up with something that would fit my requests (budget etc). To my surprise, the payments came out to be less than I thought, which is great! "Wonderful Service Job Today"
I wanted to thank Matthews for a doing a wonderful service job today. I had an appointment for my 2008 Subaru Legacy for some routine maintenance. The service rep that worked with me, (his name is Gil Millard), was excellent and explained the services that Mathews provides. I had explained that there was a noise with my car and he said they would look to see if they could pinpoint it. The mechanic that did the work on my car also did an excellent job by doing the requested maintenance, diagnosing the noise and fixing it. (As it turned out, and to my surprise, the noise coming from the front end of the car was covered under warranty). Together they were both very professional and did an amazing job. I would also like to add that I had bought my car new back in 2008 from Mathews before I had moved out of state. The sales team at the time did a great job in helping me find the right car for me. I wanted to congratulate your team at Matthews Subaru for doing an excellent job. I plan on being a long term customer because of the polite, courteous, professional, and helpful employees you have working there. Thanks again.

"I was blown away by the service I received, people were fantastic"
I wanted to give feedback on the service crew at the GMC dealer. Was traveling home from the Finger Lakes to New Hampshire when my Yukon broke down. I googled nearest GMC dealers and thank god it gave me Matthews GMC. Was about 20 miles east of the dealership. When I called I was put in contact with Jim Rogers in Service. Told him my situation and he took car of everything. Sent a tow truck after me(Becks Tioga Towing-they were fantastic also). Explained I was very un easy leaving my wife and 2 daughters on the side of the road since the tow truck had room for only 1 rider. He sent a car to pick them up. Jim also said the service department closed at 3 pm on Saturdays. Would probably not be able to do anything till Monday. This was fine with me considering the circumstances. My wife had arrived before me at the dealership and explained to Jim what had happened. When I got there he had arranged for a U Haul pick up for me to go and get my boat that I had to leave at on the road. He told me to hold tight and they would look at my Yukon first. If they could fix it he was going to have himself and the Service tech stay after closing at 3. Turned out they were able to fix it and got us back on the road at 4;30. I have dealt with GMC products and service for 25 years and have never had this kind of service. Jim was outstanding!!! Went above and beyond to make us comfortable and get us going. I was blown away by the service I recieved and have never purchased a vehicle from you. People would be insane not to buy a vehicle from Matthews! Also the sales people were fantastic to my wife and daughters while we were there. Checking to see if we needed anything. Sorry I don't remember names but it was everyone working this past Saturday. Again I can't say enough about Jim, every dealership would be lucky to have someone like him on staff! You also have a beautiful facility! Thank You!! George Brewster

Your service department at Matthews Planet has restored my faith in having my SUV serviced honestly , courteously and professionally . I went through a very bad repair recently locally where they were not honest and did not have the expertise to repair my vehicle properly and I ended up taking my vehicle to your service department on two separate incidents and they corrected the issue correctly and efficiently in a timely manner . The one incident if I hadn't had your service department work on it I would have shortly lost complete steering control while driving which could have ended in a possible disaster as you can imagine . I will let noone but your service department work on my vehicle in the future . Keep your service as is and you will have a customer for life. Thank you .

All of the staff was incredible helpful. We first saw the car we ultimately purchased at the dealership in Norwich and Gary was very firendly. Because perferred to test drive the car in Binghamton Alan took over and he was great. The dealership took care of getting the car from Norwich to Binghamton at no cost to us at all! Alan is very friendly, took time to speak with us about all the details and made us extremely comfortable with our purchase. We loved the fact that he didn't work from a computer - he looked us right in the eyes and spoke with us. He was also incredible tolerable of our over-active toddler. Alan really went above and beyond, leaving the hospital bed to deliver our car to us. We look forward to working with Alan in the future

I Have never experienced such excellent assistance in finding a vehicle that met our request before. Once the vehicle was received the Sales men called us, and start to finish the transaction was excellent. The process of the paper work was quick and efficient as well. We spent less than 45 minutes total filling out and signing the paper work!! Our sales men also went above and beyond to be sure the vehicle was serviced and shiny inside and out when we picked it up! We will rave about our experience for years to come!! I bought my new truck a few months ago, had a great experience then, today, earlier this week I made an appointment for service. First time using their Service Department. I was early arriving, they found my information, in a timely manner, took my vehicle and quoted me a time of 45 minutes to an hour for the service to be completed. Denny Clark whom I was dealing with, came and told me my vehicle was completed and ready to go. Total time 38 minutes from exiting my vehicle until pulling out of the parking lot. Thanks Denny !!!!!!, also a very nice waiting area with reading material, comfortable seating, and large screen TV. I rate them a 5 Star, they deserve it. Denny runs a great operation.
