Matthews Auto Annual Walk-A-Thon

Thank You to our amazing Community for donating and or walking in this year's event. Every year the event grows and it's in large part because of all of you. ðŸ¥°
We're so excited to share... We raised $153,561 at the 7th Annual Matthews Walk-A-Thon to benefit thirteen kids' charities in Binghamton, Syracuse, Rochester, Norwich, Schenectady NY and Scranton PA, on Saturday, October 4th.
The list of recipients includes Mom's House ($9,531), A Room to Heal ($10,813), Handicapped Children's Association ($9,660), Guthrie Hospice Vestal's Camp Hope for Kids ($19,568), GiGi's Playhouse ($28,485), Children's Home of Wyoming Conference ($3,800), Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital Syracuse ($9,324), Joseph's House Syracuse ($9,701), ED23 Syracuse ($4,336), Child Advocacy Center of Greater Rochester ($11,226), Things of my Very Own in Schenectady ($18,837), Chenango County Child Advocacy Center in Norwich NY ($14,679), and St. Joseph's Center in Scranton PA ($3,596). A total of $153,561 was raised, beating the goal by $3,561.

 About the Annual Matthews Auto Walk-A-Thon

Matthews Auto began the Annual Walk-A-Thon in 2019 to incorporate our Team in a healthy challenge, while benefiting local children's charities. In our first year we had over 600 walkers and 4,500 miles pledged. In total since inception, we have raised $593,739 (updated with 2025 totals)!

Charities that have benefited have included A Room To Heal, Chenango County Child Advocacy Center (Norwich), Gigi's Playhouse, Mom's House, Toys for Tots, Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital, Lourdes Hospice Camp Hope for Kids, Golisano Children's Hospital in Rochester Saint Joseph's Center (Scranton) and Things of My Very Own (Schenectady). 

Last year we had over 2048 Walkers pledging to walk over 7500 Miles and we hope we continue to grow again this year! It's our Community Event of the Year!

For 2025, we have added ED23 (Syracuse, NY), Child Advocacy Center of Greater Rochester!
