Important Information for Matthews Mazda Sales and Service Customers:

Effective October 31st, 2018 - Matthews Auto had no longer retained the Mazda Franchise.  This means that effective this date, Matthews could no longer sell new or certified pre-owned vehicles or provide warranty service for Mazda.

Unfortunately, Mazda had made a big revision in their factory incentive program, putting Matthews at a significant pricing disadvantage versus single point, Mazda exclusive dealerships. This price disadvantage has made it impossible for us to compete effectively going forward and to give our Mazda Customers the lowest One Price that they are accustomed to from Matthews Auto.

How does this affect current Mazda customers in regards to service? Other than Mazda warranty work, we will continue to be able to meet all of your other Mazda service needs.  Matthews Import Center has retained our Mazda Trained Technicians to perform routine, non-warrantied service maintenance on your Mazda Vehicle

Where should I take my Mazda for any warranty service work? Any Mazda dealer can meet your warranty needs, the 3 closest to Binghamton are: Kelly Mazda in Scranton, PA, and Burdick Mazda and Romano Mazda in Syracuse, NY.

Does this affect current Matthews Mazda employees? No. Any of our great team members that you have worked with in the past will still be at the Matthews Import Center, ready to help you with your future vehicle sales and service needs.


Will Mazda customer's receive any goodwill?  Yes! 

It is unfortunate that Mazda had made this decision, however, we still want to do all we can for our customers. Therefore, to recognize the inconvenience of losing a local warranty option for your Mazda vehicle, Matthews Auto is going to give a $1,000 trade in bonus to any retail customer who bought a new or used Mazda (that they still own) from Matthews Auto, good for 5 years from the date of purchase. This $1,000 bonus will be good on any new or used vehicle, purchase, at any Matthews Auto location! Simply let your sales consultant know you would like to take advantage of this offer. They will verify that your current Mazda vehicle was purchased from Matthews Auto, and then add the $1,000 to your trade in allowance.

 

Based upon the top level of actions of Mazda, we simply could not compete with Mazda when we were at such a significant price disadvantage as our business philosophy is to offer our customers the lowest price available on new car purchases.
